Working Conditions - Publications

The wave of liberalization affecting global trade, financial relations and production has resulted in considerable changes of the working and living conditions for some of the employees in both the industrialized countries and the Third World.
Labour-intensive production processes were moved increasingly to Third World countries (Central and East European countries followed at a later stage), very often to "free export zones" or "special economic areas" where this liberalization often was accompanied by a restriction of employees' civil rights and liberties, as well as their labour and social rights.
