Nationalism, Forced Migrations
and Ethnic Cleansings

In this section, an attempt is made to outline the phenomenon of nationalism and its ideological basis, to give a short overview of its development throughout history and to point out its significance for dealing with "national minorities".

Furthermore, there is a short overview of the ethnically and nationalistically motivated forced migrations which took place in 20th century Europe.
