BEM-BIR-SEN
(BUTUN BELEDIYE MEMURLARI SENDIKASI)
The union was founded to operate in municipalities. The board elected at the last congress held on September 6, 1997 is composed of Zübeyir Yetik (chairman), Nadir Albay (general secretary), Fikret Güler (organization secretary), Ahmet Karakus (finance secretary), Hasan Serttas (administrative secretary), Eyüp Akkas (education secretary), Hamza Yanik (legislation and public relations secretary). The union publishes a bulletin called Aylik Bülten". It has 80 branches in 50 cities and 30,000 members as it is reported.
BIRLIK HABER-SEN
(TURKIYE BIRLIK HABERLESME VE ILETISIM CALISANLARI SENDIKASI)
EMPLOYEES OF TURKEY It took part in foundation of Memur-Sen Confederation in 1995. The name of the union was Türkiye Birlik Haber-Sen before the last congress held on May 5, 1996. The board elected at the last congress is composed of Hüsamettin Sanal (chairman), Mehmet Ucar (general secretary), Mehmet Beytur (deputy general secretary), Ahmet Mermer (education secretary), Ahmet Kayir (organization secretary), Minâ Bingöl (finance secretary) and Atilla Kaya (legislation secretary). The union has 37 branches which are located in Adiyaman, Afyon, Amasya, Ankara, Antalya, Aydin, Balikesir, Canakkale, Corum, Denizli, Erzincan, Erzurum, Gaziantep, Gümüshane, Kayseri, Konya, Malatya, Mardin, Mus, Nevsehir, Ordu, Sivas, Tokat, Trabzon, Sanliurfa, Van, Zonguldak, Aksaray, Bayburt, Batman, Sirnak, Karabük, Kahramanmaras, Bartin, Siirt, Izmit and Hatay. The union reported 51 branches and 15,000 members. It publishes a bulletin called Birlik Haber-Sen".
EGITIM-BIR
(EGITIMCILER BIRLIGI SENDIKASI)
The board elected at the last congress is composed of M.Akif Inan (chairman), Kamil Aydogan (deputy chairman), Besim Essiz Tataroglu (general secretary), Ahmet Fidan, Remzi Kaplan, Nurettin Sezen, Kemal Yazici and Safak Toprak. The last general assembly was held in July 1995. Nurettin Sezen, Kemal Yazici and Safak Toprak were resigned; Refik Öksüz, Turgay Yüce and Bilal Baldemir replaced by them respectively. It is an affiliate of Muallimler Ittifaki Birligi (The Union of Teachers) in Azerbaijan) The union had 300 provincial and 67 district branches as of December 1997. It has 60,000 members and publishes monthly Egitim-Bir Bülten" and quarterly Egitim Dünyasi".
ENERJI-BIR-SEN
(ENERJI MADEN-METAL-PETROL KIMYA HIZMET KOLU CALISANLARI BIRLIGI SENDIKASI)
The union was founded by Hamdi Saylam (chairman), Abdullah Tombul, Ibrahim Demirhan, H. Hüseyin Demirögen, Yakup Temgilimoglu, Ekrem Bagci and Sinan Yildirim in March 1995. It is based in Ankara. It has 30 branches. The union reported 500 members in 1995 and 10,000 in 1997. The second figure is possibly not reliable.
KAMU BURO-SEN
(KAMU BURO CALISANLARI SENDIKASI)
The last general assembly of the union was held in 1995. The board is composed of Fatih Ugurlu (chairman), Özcan Kanmaz, Sedat Kadioglu, Kasim Bostan and Sait Inan. Another Memur-Sen affiliate Öz Büro-Sen abolished itself and joined Kamu Büro-Sen in 1997. The union has 30 branches and 10,000 members according to the authorities of Memur-Sen. The union does not have any publication.
SAGLIK BIR-SEN
(SAGLIK CALISANLARI BIRLIGI SENDIKASI)
It was founded to operate in health branch. The board elected at the last congress held on April 1997, is composed of Dr. Sadik Danisman (chairman), Dr. Yusuf Özkiris (general secretary), Dr. Duran Erol, Dr. Serdar Erkal, Osman Günes. It has branches in Istanbul, Bursa and Eskisehir. The union has approximately 200 members.
SAGLIK-SEN
(CEVRE VE SAGLIKCILAR SENDIKASI)
The board elected at the last congress held in December 1995, is composed of Ahmet Aksu (chairman), Bülent Kutluca, Necati Simsek, Yasar Basaran, Hüseyin Baltaci, Ilknur Poyraz. It reported 30 branches and 10,000 members.
TOK-SEN
(TARIM, ORMAN CALISANLARI BIRLIGI SENDIKASI)
The last congress of the union was held in 1995. The board is composed of Mevlût Dogan (chairman), Cengiz Karaca (general secretary), Musa Özyürek, Bülent Erzurumlu and Nazim Akca.
