This book is the second edition of the earlier published "Southeast Asian Women in Politics and Decision-Making, Ten Years After Beijing: Gaining Ground?" in December 2004. It is fulfilled in partnership with FES Philippine Office and the Manila-based South East Asia Women Watch (SEAWWatch). The publication comprises of in-depth studies of the situation of women in politics and decision-making - one of the crucial areas identified in the Beijing Platform for Action (BPFA) - in Cambodia, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines and Thailand. Additionally, it is includes insights on the 49th Meeting of the Commission on the Status of Women (CSW), which aimed to commemorate the decade-old (BPFA) and the evaluation of its implementation ten years after the UN World Conference on Women in 1995.
