About The Friedrich Ebert Foundation

The Friedrich Ebert Foundation is a non-profit, private educational institution committed to the concepts and basic values of social democracy and the labor movement. Headquartered in Bonn, Germany, the Foundation maintains offices in 89 countries. The task of the Washington Office of the Friedrich Ebert Foundation is to contribute to comprehensive transatlantic dialogue and to offer public programs as well as publications on issues related to Germany and Europe.

About The National Policy Association

The National Policy Association is an independent, private nonprofit organization which since 1934 has brought together key private sector leaders from business, labor, agriculture and the academic professions. NPA sponsors six policy committees whose more than 300 members identify emerging problems confronting the nation at home and abroad and develop recommendations for dealing with these critical issues including competitiveness and enhancing productivity, human resource development, the impact of trade, corporate restructuring, and quality improvement programs.
