This study offers insight into Jordan’s ranking and performance in the rule of law indices such as the Rule of Law Index. It aims to contextualize and localize the global rule of law discourses, in particular, it focuses on the indicators of the World Justice Project (WJP) Rule of Law Index; (4.) Fundamental Rights, (7.) Civil Justice, and (8.) Criminal Justice. The study scrutinizes the underlying challenges and factors that strengthen or weaken the rule of law in Jordan, forming the basis of the WJP ranking. Finally, it proposes recommendations to improve the reality of justice and the rule of law.
