On March 23rd, 2017, the Hans-und-Traute-Matthöfer-Stiftung within the Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung awarded the Hans-Matthöfer-Preis für Wirtschaftspublizistik ‘Wirtschaft.Weiter.Denken.‘ 2017. Award winner is Oliver Nachtwey, Visiting Professor of General Sociology at the Technical University Darmstadt and Fellow at the Institute for Social Research at the University of Frankfurt, with his book ‘Downward Mobility – Dissent in the Age of Regressive Modernity’. The speeches held during the award ceremony by Kurt Beck, Thorsten Schäfer-Gümbel, Thomas Fricke and Oliver Nachtwey are published in the present Festschrift.
