Better regulation, or less democracy and more bureaucracy?

The European Commission unveiled its "Better regulation" package. If unchanged, it will make the legislative procedure longer, costlier and more bureaucratic. Some inappropriate proposals have been dropped as a result of discussions in the run up to its launch, major questions raised by the ETUC are still open.

ETUI has released a publication on EU Commission's "Better regulation" package. It says the process to simplify European legislation has “fallen prey to a set of very specific interests”.
