Inventories of International Trade Secretariats and European Trade Union Organisations

Since its creation, the Friedrich Ebert Foundation Library has collected publications by the International Labour Movement, especially by trade unions, systematically and on a large scale. The Library was able to expand its collection of publications by international trade union organisations especially by taking over entire library inventories from international trade secretariats.
As early as the 1980s, the Library took over comprehensive inventories from the International Metalworkers' Federation (IMF), followed by - partially complete - stocks from the

These collections contain a large number of unique specimens and treasures, such as highly valuable periodicals and newspapers, reports on international trade union conferences as well as minutes and official organs from international trade union organisations since the previous turn of the century, to name but a few. The articles of association and statues offer a valuable insight into the organisations' workings.
These stocks of publications from international trade union organisations are complemented by collections from European trade union federations. Thus, the Friedrich Ebert Foundation Library offers publications by, among others, the following organisations and institutions:
