Socialist International - A Bibliography
Overview on the organizational development

International Literary Agency

The SI-Bureau decided to call a conference of social democratic publishers, which convened at Heidelberg in June 1955. The organization had members in e.g. Austria, Denmark, Finland, Germany, the Netherlands, Norway, Sweden, Switzerland and perhaps other countries.
The organization existed during the 1950s - conferences were held in Frankfurt, 1957, Vienna and Berlin, 1958 - and 1960s, at least its periodical did. The Agency participated in the exhibition "The Socialist Book" in Brussels 1964 in connection with the 100th anniversary of the Socialist International, and planned to publish several books (SI Circular B 36/63).
