International Union of Socialist Youth The IUSY was founded at a conference in 1946 by mostly European social-democratic youth organizations. In the next decades it was, on the one hand, pushed back to Western and Northern Europe, on the other hand it was more succesful than the SI in attractiing membership in quite a lot of countries all over the world.
A sort of "official" history of the IUSY's first 20 years in Radomir Luza: History of the International Socialist Youth Movement. A.W. Sijthoff, Leyden 1970. The IUSY headquarters are situated in Vienna.
